About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Performance Media Account Director specialising in PPC and Paid Social to join our digital marketing team. This role is perfect for someone with an innovative mindset, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for leading high-performing teams to deliver outstanding results for our clients. As the Account Director, you will be the strategic leader for our client accounts, driving innovative strategies that align with overall business goals while mentoring and developing our account management team.

Client Account Management/Day-to-Day

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to ensure client accounts align with business objectives.
  • Utilise business acumen to understand client industries and identify growth opportunities.
  • Make strategic decisions to address client challenges and provide recommendations.
  • Act as a mentor and leader to the account management team, offering support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with departments like Programmatic & ATL, SEO, and DIT to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify innovation and growth opportunities for clients.
  • Integrate tools and train AEs/AMs on best practices to proactively address potential issues.

Operations & Communication

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations (MBR/QBR/Weekly) with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee Asana management to ensure best practice adherence by AMs & AEs.
  • Lead pod catch-ups and prepare talking points for team alignment on tasks and progress.
  • Attend Directors’ meetings with updates on client progression, opportunities, and roadblocks.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s with AMs to discuss growth, development, workload, and upcoming projects.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Team Management

  • Lead and monitor the development and progress of Account Managers (AMs) and Account Executives (AEs).
  • Schedule regular 1-2-1s to discuss workload, growth areas, and well-being.
  • Identify skill gaps and collaborate with HoD to plan and source necessary training.
  • Drive agency positioning through new initiatives and collateral.
  • Prepare and participate in agency webinars and events.
  • Identify and complete quarterly OKRs to enhance personal, team, and company growth.
  • Oversee the OKRs for AMs and AEs.

New Business Development

  • Play a lead role in new business pitches, crafting compelling stories that align with client objectives.
  • Forecast potential growth and investment levels required.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on managing complex PPC and Paid Social campaigns.
  • Develop innovative strategies to ensure client success and alignment with business goals.
  • Anticipate market trends and create long-term client strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cookieless environments and their impact on platforms.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client accounts and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • In-depth knowledge of PPC and Paid Social channels, including Google Ads and Meta platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.

Salary: Competitive Salary (depending on experience)

Hours: 9.30am-6.00pm/ Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
