Senior Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Functional Consultant – Contract

This role involves leading Dynamics 365 implementation projects in collaboration with project managers and solutions architects, providing high‑quality solutions and supporting junior consultants.

Qualifications

• Deep technical knowledge of Business Central modules and common ISVs.
• Knowledge of the Business Central product roadmap and technologies such as Jet Reports and Power Platform.
• Understanding of software development cycles, release management, data migrations and cut‑over plans, as well as post‑go‑live support.
• Industry awareness, preferably in technology or finance and professional services.
• Proven ability to lead and manage client engagements to successful project delivery.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for building client relationships and collaborating internally.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants and contributing to team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead client workshops to capture requirements and design solutions in partnership with a Solutions Architect.
• Direct projects to ensure timely delivery, budget control and client satisfaction.
• Perform in‑depth analysis of client business processes, workflows and system requirements; propose improvement opportunities and technology solutions.
• Lead sprint planning and manage work‑item backlogs, prioritising tasks for solution building.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for client teams to adopt new processes and technologies.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic advice.
• Negotiate project deliverables and agreements with customers, ensuring feasibility.
• Author and present detailed reports and findings to stakeholders, including technical documentation, project updates and recommendations.
