Internal Communications & Engagement Manager – 12 month contract insideir35 £285 – £308 – Edinburgh hybrid35 hours per week

The role

Our public sector client is looking for an experienced Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to lead on a high-profile culture change programme.

This role will focus on delivering clear, engaging communications around a major Culture Review, ensuring staff feel informed, supported, and able to contribute as the organisation evolves.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and deliver internal communications plans aligned to a key Culture Review
• Partner with senior leaders, supporting them to communicate effectively during change
• Drive two-way engagement, ensuring staff feel heard and involved
• Build strong relationships across the organisation, from frontline to leadership
• Monitor and evaluate comms activity, using insights to improve impact
• Contribute to shaping a new Internal Communications Strategy

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in internal communications / engagement roles
• Strong writing and content creation skills
• Experience supporting culture change or organisational transformation
• Ability to influence and work with senior stakeholders
• Track record of delivering multi-channel communication campaigns
• Understanding of how to engage employees and build buy-in
