Interim Waste Services Technical Manager

Starfish Search is supporting a Local Authority in the North of England to appoint an Interim Waste Services Technical Manager to support the implementation of new food waste collection requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparations for new food waste collection requirements
• Provide technical advice on waste services and compliance
• Support service planning and implementation
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies
• Work with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop policies, procedures and guidance
• Report progress to senior leaders

About You:

• Experience within Local Authority waste services
• Strong knowledge of waste legislation and policy
• Experience delivering service change or improvement
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
