Deputy Company Secretary
A leading regulated organisation is seeking a Deputy Company Secretary to support the Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary in delivering a first-class governance function.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, partnering with Board members, Non-Executive Directors and senior executives to ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance and effective decision-making across the business.
The Role
As Deputy Company Secretary, you will play a key role in the management and continual development of the organisation’s governance framework. Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and delivering Board and Committee meetings and annual governance processes.
- Providing governance and regulatory advice to directors and senior stakeholders.
- Supporting the ongoing development of governance policies, procedures and decision-making frameworks.
- Managing entity governance matters, statutory records and corporate reporting obligations.
- Advising on governance considerations relating to strategic projects, transactions and business change initiatives.
- Building strong relationships across Board, Executive and wider stakeholder groups.
- Supporting and developing members of the Company Secretariat team.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will bring:
- Significant Company Secretariat and governance experience, ideally gained within a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, statutory obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting Boards, Committees and executive leadership teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Sound judgement, professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organisational skills and high-quality drafting ability.
- A pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
