Community Fundraising & Events Officer

Salary range: £31,000

Hours: 35 hours per week

Place of work: Hybrid arrangement (min of 3 days per week in office)

Annual Leave: 27 Days

Our client is an amazing, established Children’s Hospice that exists for a simple but compelling purpose: to provide care and support to children and families living with serious illness. We help them achieve the best possible quality of life and, when needed, ensure the best possible support at the end of life. As our care expands across seven London boroughs – Barking & Dagenham, City & Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest – as well as West Essex and East Hertfordshire, the charity is reaching more families than ever before.

This is community fundraising role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, establishing new networks, and growing income within our local community. As Community Fundraising Officer, you will lead on developing community fundraising across our existing catchment, building awareness of the hospice, establishing strong local relationships, retaining existing key supporters and growing sustainable income over time. You will be supported by the wider fundraising team while having the autonomy to shape and grow community engagement locally.

The focus within the Income Generation and Marketing Team is to put the supporter and donor at the centre of everything we do, ensuring they feel inspired by our work and the children and families we support; engaged and committed to our cause and ultimately make a commitment to do something amazing.

The person who gets this job will need to have a high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to build strong, long-lasting relationships. We want someone to join us who loves being part of a hardworking and collaborative team.
