Job Description:

A dynamic growing UK professional services LLP firm with international reach is looking for a Chief of Staff. As Chief of Staff you will be a senior, trusted adviser and operational partner to the Managing Partner. The role exists to maximise the effectiveness, impact, and strategic focus of the Managing Partner’s office by providing high-level strategic support, driving execution of priorities, and acting as a connector across the leadership team and wider partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a close advisor to the Managing Partner on firm-wide priorities, growth strategy, and change initiatives.
  • Track progress against strategic objectives, proactively identifying delivery bottlenecks and working collaboratively to remove them.
  • Awareness of strategic priorities, with the ability to drive to completion.
  • Review and stress-test proposals before escalation, ensuring a sharp eye for risk and partnership dynamics.
  • Shape leadership agendas and decision pathways to ensure meetings are purposeful and outcome-focused.
  • Follow through on key actions and decisions, holding senior stakeholders to account.
  • Build trusted relationships across the partnership, managing sensitive alignment and stakeholder dynamics with discretion.
  • Partner with marketing leadership to draft high-impact firm-wide messaging, town hall content, and internal materials.
  • Proven track record in a Chief of Staff, within a professional services or LLP/partner-led environment.
  • Extensive experience working closely with senior leadership, with the credibility and presence to influence at the highest levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving complex strategic projects and change programmes through to completion.
  • High political acumen and emotional intelligence, with a history of managing sensitive partnership matters with absolute tact.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into engaging materials.
  • A structured, organised connector who is comfortable with ambiguity and operates calmly under pressure.
  • Clear progress towards the firm’s long-term growth ambitions.
  • Stronger discipline around operational performance tracking and delivery.
  • More effective and focused leadership team meetings with faster execution of initiatives.
  • Improved strategic alignment and engagement across the wider partnership.
