Associate Director, Finance Transformation | Value Creation

We are supporting a high-growth, PE-backed advisory firm with strong momentum as it continues to build its Finance Transformation capability within the Value Creation practice in London.

The role sits within the firm’s Value Creation practice, working closely with senior leadership to support clients across varied finance transformation, value creation and performance improvement projects. The work spans corporates, PE firms and their portfolio companies, and public sector clients, helping CFOs and management teams improve finance function performance, cash visibility, reporting, forecasting and operational effectiveness.

Typical project areas include:

  • Finance function improvement and effectiveness reviews
  • Finance operating model design
  • Working capital optimisation and cash visibility
  • Cash flow forecasting and liquidity improvement
  • Reporting, MI and KPI enhancement
  • FP&A, budgeting and forecasting improvement
  • Process optimisation across core finance processes
  • Systems-enabled finance transformation
  • Profitability improvement and broader performance improvement
  • Post-deal transformation, integration, carve-out and exit-readiness support

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in finance transformation, finance improvement, value creation or performance improvement, ideally gained within a consulting or advisory environment.

This role would suit a Manager, Senior Manager or existing Associate Director who wants to step into a high-growth advisory platform and play a meaningful role in developing the Finance Transformation capability within the Value Creation practice. You will be comfortable managing workstreams, leading junior teams, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering practical, outcome-focused transformation work.

Key requirements:

  • Strong finance transformation, finance improvement or performance improvement experience
  • Consulting/advisory current or recent background
  • Experience delivering projects across finance operating model, process improvement, reporting, FP&A, working capital or broader performance improvement
  • Qualified accountant, ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Private equity or portfolio company exposure advantageous but not essential
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
  • Ability to lead workstreams, manage teams and produce high-quality client deliverables
