Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients
• Support business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and assisting with project tenders
• Oversee project delivery from feasibility through to construction stage
• Ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with the client brief
• Manage multiple projects across a variety of sectors
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, architects, contractors, and consultants
• Oversee and contribute to technical design throughout the project lifecycle
• Attend client meetings and project progress meetings
• Carry out site inspections and report findings back to the design team

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience within a Building Services Consultancy environment
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Working towards Chartership (CIBSE or IMechE preferred)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with a good awareness of electrical, sustainability, and public health services
• Up-to-date knowledge of British Standards, regulations, and codes of practice
• Experience managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities
• Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental policies
