Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship

Working Week: 30 hours – Monday to Friday within opening hours (Flexible with hours)

Brief Description

PE4 6NA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Additional Requirements

• Applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications will be offered employment on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Candidate must be able to reach the pharmacy within 30 minutes; driving is required and should be indicated on your CV.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Key Duties

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

• Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
• Duration: Typically 15 months
• Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
• Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours

Compensation

£8 per hour
