Partnerships Senior Occupational Therapist

The Role

This role will work across multiple teams in Health and Social Care to support them in finding innovative solutions for people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the use of OT methods, functional assessments and evidenceâ€‐based interventions that promote independence
• Work across organisations to deliver seamless, joinedâ€‐up support for individuals with complex needs
• Use your extensive knowledge of community equipment, prescribing equipment that supports people to live fulfilling lives at home
• Use your understanding of legislation around provision of equipment andadaptations to ensure the overall most appropriate, costâ€‐effective solutions
• Offer clinical leadership
• Contribute to service development, development of innovative practices, quality improvement and crossâ€‐sector collaboration

About You

• Extensive experience in Occupational Therapy in community, reablement, or integrated care settings
• Strong understanding of OT models of practice, functional assessment, and interventions that promote independence
• Inâ€‐depth knowledge of community equipment, equipment stores, and how equipment provision supports safe, independent living
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively across organisations
• A passion for enabling people to live the lives they choose in their own homes
