Responsibilities
- Direct Care and Support: Deliver best‑practice care, assist residents with daily living, review care plans, and support social activities.
- Clinical Interventions: Perform trained clinical tasks such as medication administration (including injections and insulin), oxygen administration, catheter care, PEG management, wound care, and more.
- Team Leadership: Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to Health Care Assistants, fostering development and educating care teams, residents, and families.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to risk assessments, ensure accurate record‑keeping and communication, and maintain high standards of care.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Oakland Care policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and promote safe working practices.
- Substantial and demonstrable experience in delivering care.
Qualifications
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Successful completion of the Oakland Care Assistant Practitioner training course or evidence of an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Evidence of competence and certification of all clinical skills required for this role.
- Completion and competence in medication administration (Guardian Angels medication training or equivalent).
- Experience in team member induction and supervision.
