Band 2 Physiotherapy Assistant
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a qualified Physiotherapist, your application will not be considered for this role.
You are invited to join our team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. In this role you will work closely with patients, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary team, undertaking responsibilities to support the smooth running of the Therapies service.
This post is rotational, covering areas such as Medicine, Elderly Care, ICU & Surgery, Respiratory & the Acute Stroke Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Work under supervision to facilitate and participate in ongoing patient treatment.
- Conduct exercise and mobility programmes under direction.
- Participate in providing a high‑quality, effective and efficient physiotherapy service.
- Provide a range of activities, instructing and guiding patients individually or in groups to support them in achieving identified goals and promoting independence.
- Undertake delegated tasks to contribute to the safe and smooth running of the service, including clerical and housekeeping tasks.
