HLTA – Orchard House (Therapeutic Learning & Reintegration Support)

New Line Learning Academy is seeking a committed and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Orchard House, our brand‑new specialist Key Stage 3 emotional wellbeing and reintegration provision supporting students experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), anxiety and emotionally based attendance barriers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver elements of PSHE and Personal Development.
• Support students within therapeutic and emotional wellbeing sessions.
• Work alongside teachers in English, Mathematics and Science lessons.
• Mentor and support emotional regulation.
• Help students rebuild confidence, routines and readiness for learning.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable young people.
• Experience working with students experiencing SEMH, anxiety or SEND.
• Ability to build exceptional relationships with young people.
• Calm, nurturing and resilient.
• Belief that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.

Working Hours and Contract

The role is 37 hours per week: Monday‑Thursday 8:00 am‑4:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am‑3:30 pm, working 38 weeks per year. This role is a fixed‑term contract for 1 year initially.
