Wood Machinist

Location: Hull / East Yorkshire HU9Pay: £15.00 per hour

Monday to Friday – early finish Friday’sJob Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Wood Machinist to join the production team with our client, a leading manufacturer of modular building systems.

The Role

You will be responsible for operating woodworking machinery and producing high-quality timber components to specification within a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating woodworking machinery safely and efficiently
• Cutting, shaping and preparing timber materials
• Reading and working from technical drawings/specifications
• Ensuring products meet quality standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Working as part of a production team to meet deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Wood Machinist, Bench Joiner, or Timber Machinist
• Experience operating woodworking machinery (panel saws, spindle moulders, CNC or similar advantageous)
• Ability to read measurements and technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
