Mechanical Fitter (Forklift Assembly & PDI Technician)

£31,000 – £36,000 base + 6% employer pension / 4% employee pension, overtime at 1.5 and 2.0 times, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, life assurance, discount benefits scheme, uniform, training

8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

We are a highly successful and international manufacturer of materials handling equipment. The role is offered with full training in a modern, fully equipped workshop and a team‑based culture with progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PDIs on a range of forklift trucks
• Perform occasional service and repair work
• Work as part of a team of 12 engineers assembling, building and modifying new forklift trucks
• Maintain a clean workshop
• Order parts as required

Qualifications

• Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, vehicle technician or similar discipline
• Assembly/fitting experience of mechanical equipment
