Skilled Joiner Required
MPA Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 5 Tradesperson (Joiner). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safe and effective maintenance of essential healthcare facilities across the Trust.
In this role you’ll be responsible for a range of planned and reactive joinery tasks, from maintaining locking mechanisms and fire doors to installing office furniture and washroom fittings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out joinery repairs, maintenance and installations across Trust facilities
- Respond to urgent tasks including roof leaks, damaged doors and window repairs
- Perform safety checks and surveys on building fabric, fire doors and anti-ligature systems
- Operate and maintain workshop machinery and MEWPs (mobile elevated work platforms)
- Use digital systems and mobile devices for job tracking and compliance reporting
- Supervise Maintenance Assistants and contribute to team performance
- Participate in on-call rota, overtime, and emergency response work as required
Essential Criteria:
- Completed a formal apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade with 3+ years’ post-apprenticeship experience
- Proficient in the use of workshop machinery and hand/power tools
- Valid full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
