Press Brake Setter Operator

£25,000 – £30,000 per annum + 4 Day Week + Friday to Sunday off + overtime at time and a half. Stable site-based role.

Location: Hixon, Stafford

We are looking for a Press Brake Operator / Setter to join a stable Monday to Thursday role, providing long weekends every week, plus progression and overtime opportunities.

Role Overview

This is a site-based production role within a large, established contract manufacturing business in a busy sheet metal and fabrication environment. The role focuses on setting and operating press brake machinery to produce accurate folded and formed metal components.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate press brake machinery
  • Bend and form sheet metal components to specification
  • Read and work from engineering drawings, job sheets and production instructions
  • Select, fit and adjust tooling and dies where required
  • Check first‑off and finished components for accuracy and quality
  • Use measuring equipment to check dimensions, angles and tolerances
  • Make basic machine adjustments to maintain quality and production flow
  • Work safely within a busy sheet metal manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • Previous press brake operating or setting experience
  • Background in sheet metal, fabrication, metalwork or manufacturing
  • Able to read engineering drawings or production drawings
  • Candidates able to set and operate multiple types of equipment may be considered for an increased hourly rate
