Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembler Tester to join our dynamic team in Falmouth. The role is part of the Pumps Assembly team, producing, assembling, calibrating, and testing high‑quality peristaltic pump drives and heads while championing safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble WMFTS products in compliance with official documentation such as BOMs, G.A. drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures and test specifications.
  • Select the relevant components specific to main assembly and sub‑assemblies, utilising the internal stock control process.
  • Follow and adhere to ridged work instructions ensuring all relevant test procedures and associated results are recorded in line with departmental procedures.
  • Become a champion for quality, adopt the right‑first‑time principle, and report and record any quality issues.
  • Ensure Kanban signals are actioned as part of the material replenishment system.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system to prioritise daily workload, ensuring all dated orders are satisfied to meet customer demand.
  • Prioritise workload to ensure the correct replenishment of sub‑assembly stocks are aligned with the Kanban system.
  • Remain a flexible member of the Assembly team, relocating to various product cells when responding to the demands of the business.
  • Assist with the training of individuals in new and existing products when required.
  • Self‑manage online training and IT‑related production tasks.
  • Ensure your immediate working area is maintained, tidy, clean and a safe working environment.
  • Champion health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Adapt to a shift‑base rotation if business demand dictates.
  • Provide support for various production activities including end‑of‑line processes.
  • Embrace Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the pumps value stream, working closely with Team Leaders to develop and implement new ideas.
  • Assist with the process validation of new equipment.
  • Support and drive 5S activities across the Pumps value stream, ensuring the workspace is efficient and safe.
  • Support process improvement investigations including Root Cause analysis and Corrective Actions.

Skills & Experience

  • Willingness to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Manufacturing background (Medical device manufacturing an advantage).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with 5S processes.
  • Keen eye for detail and willingness to utilise available resources to drive process improvement.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands.
