The company is a manufacturer of special purpose machinery and, due to continued success, requires a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Alcester area.

Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 per annum

Role Purpose

Assemble and test bespoke machinery from design drawings to meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Build machine structures, sub‑assemblies, and final products using hand and power tools, ensuring precise fits for bearings, gears, and shafts.
• Install hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, and actuators according to schematics.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults during assembly and testing, collaborating with design engineers to implement solutions.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers) to ensure accuracy.
• Adhere strictly to Health & Safety and quality standards (ISO).

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience of mechanical fitting / machine building.
• Strong experience in special purpose machinery and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and layouts.
• Proficiency in fitting and using workshop equipment.

• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or within a team.

The role is Monday to Friday with an early finish on Friday.
