Job Overview

In this role, you’ll support the day‑to‑day running of the fabrics team, managing key data, tracking fabric developments and samples, and preparing for meetings and fit sessions. You’ll play an important part in ensuring quality and performance standards are consistently met, while gaining end‑to‑end exposure to the fabric lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as an active member of the team to work within a commercially focused culture and support the Fabric Technologist and Sustainability teams where required
  • Understand the PLM system – including CP management and reporting
  • Be aware of the fabric development process and support the Fabric Technologist to upload supporting documents to PLM
  • Communicate information to the Fabric Technologist, Project Managers and the wider Fabric & Sustainability team
  • Support technology teams with PLM fabric library management to ensure clean data input, consolidation of like materials and correct documentation is available for approval and traceability
  • Act as a hands‑on, detail‑driven support role requiring strong organisation, accuracy and a proactive mindset. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop and succeed
  • Basic understanding of garment and fabric technology
  • Computer literate with strong Excel skills and knowledge of PLM systems
  • Good organisational skills and an eye for detail
  • Multitask orientated with the ability to work to deadlines to achieve the buying critical path
  • Understanding of Marks & Spencer buying process
