Senior Technician – Nottingham

Think Recruitment is working with a well‑established and growing consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Technician to their Nottingham team.

Our client has a fantastic reputation for delivering projects across a wide range of sectors, from high‑rise residential and commercial to industrial developments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the delivery of these projects.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical drawing work in 2D and 3D on major projects.
• Produce reinforcement bending schedules for reinforced concrete.
• Manage workload on numerous projects to ensure deadlines are met and client requirements are fulfilled.
• Take a lead role in larger schemes to plan work and delegate to other Technicians within the Department.
• Mentor Junior Technicians.
• Liaise with clients and external design teams on a daily basis.
• Contribute to and take an active role in the improvement of company and drawing office procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Good all‑round technical drawing expertise using Revit and AutoCAD for all building materials.
• Knowledge of civil and structural build details and construction interfaces.
• Experience in detailing structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
• Knowledge of BIM packages such as Navisworks and ReCAP is advantageous.
