Admin Coordinator – Urgent Treatment Centre
An exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Admin Coordinator to join our administration service. The post holder will be responsible for supervising and supporting administrative teams covering the Urgent Treatment Centre, working collaboratively with a part-time Admin Coordinator for the Community Admin Team to ensure continuity of cover and effective communication.
The role is primarily based at Weymouth Community Hospital, with flexibility to work across sites within the Weymouth and Portland locality.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision of admin teams and ensure efficient, high‑quality administrative support to clinical services.
- Coordinate workloads, maintain standards, and act as a central point of contact between teams.
- Line‑manage the Urgent Treatment Centre Reception team of nine staff working shift patterns across a seven‑day service.
- Hold responsibility for the recruitment, induction, training and development of all administration team members.
- Act as a role model to colleagues, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
- Coordinate rotas and manage attendance, annual leave and sickness records to ensure smooth running of the service throughout the year.
- Provide advice and support on administrative issues across the service and undertake specific project work, as required.
Requirements
- Strong IT, organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and communicate effectively with tact and discretion.
- Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which is covered by the Trust. Applicants with a DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate.
- Applicants must hold a valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship.
- Candidates requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible to apply for this post; visa sponsorship is not available.
