Job Title: Payroll Co‑ordinator
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time, flexible start and finish times
Hybrid: On offer following successful completion of probationary period
Overview
Are you an experienced payroll professional looking to join a well established and forward‑thinking organisation? This is an excellent opportunity to join a national business as Payroll Co‑ordinator, supporting the finance team with the accurate processing of weekly and monthly payrolls while ensuring all HMRC reporting and payroll related submissions are completed within required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll
- Process monthly payroll
- Complete EPS submissions and HMRC reporting
- Analyse weekly timesheet data and provide payroll related reporting
- Manage Attachment of Earnings requirements and payments
- Support annual P11D processing across the business
- Respond to payroll and payslip queries from employees
- Process new starter and leaver information including P45 administration
- Produce annual Gender Pay Gap reporting using internal systems
- Submit pension and union fee deductions to relevant bodies
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks
Experience Required
- Previous payroll experience
- Knowledge of PAYE, NI calculations and payroll best practice
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling queries
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Team player with a collaborative and adaptable approach
