Learning Support Assistant (Compass Team)

Position

Learning Support Assistant (Compass Team), 25 hours per week, term time only, fixed term contract.

About the Role

We seek a Learning Support Assistant to work with our Compass team supporting students in the SEMH provision at Stockton Sixth Form College. You will primarily work with Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students experiencing acute anxiety, providing class and independent study assistance.
• Work with SEND young people alongside staff.
• Maintain efficient and effective recording systems.

Qualifications

• Recent experience of supporting students with acute anxiety and learning difficulties or disabilities.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience working effectively with SEND young people.
• Empathy for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine, Points 6-9 (£25,558 – £26,818 pro rata). Actual starting salary for 25 hours per week, term time only is £14,770.84 per annum (based on an FTE of £25,558 per annum).
