Job Summary
Are you outgoing, friendly and passionate about your work? If so, you could be the ideal caring Personal Assistant required to support a man in his own home and help him become more active in the community. The post is for 6 hours a week, to be worked flexibly as agreed in advance with the employer.
Responsibilities
- Provide the client with opportunities to socialise outside in the community.
- Assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Assist with light domestic cleaning.
- Reduce the client’s social isolation.
- Ensure the client’s safety and wellbeing at all times while on duty.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests that the employer may make from time to time.

- Proactive, honest, firm but patient.
- Good knowledge of the local area.
- An ability to develop and maintain a supportive relationship.
- Flexibility around hours of work and main duties.
- Excellent work ethic with reliable time‑keeping.
- Self‑motivated and able to use own initiative.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and be aware of privacy.
Working Conditions & Benefits
5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro‑rata). The appointment is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check, which will incur no cost to the applicant, and an enhanced DBS check, also at no cost. The role includes a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months. Wages are paid in arrears on a 4‑weekly basis once a valid National Insurance number has been provided. The applicant must be eligible to work in the UK and will undergo document checks before commencement. The employee will receive statutory entitlements, annual leave, and a Personal Assistants Handbook. Mandatory training identified as relevant to this post will be provided at no cost through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in the employment offer being withdrawn.
