Despatch Operative – AM/PM

Great opportunity to work as a Despatch Operative for our client’s pork factory.

Staffline is recruiting Despatch Operatives in Bugle.

Pay rates:

• AM Shift £13 per hour
• PM Shift £14 per hour

Overtime pay:

• AM Shift £19.50 per hour
• PM Shift £21.00 per hour

Working hours (full‑time, fixed shifts, Monday to Friday):

• AM shift: 6:25 am – 3:25 pm
• PM shift: 3:15 pm – 11:50 pm

Applicants must have their own transport to travel to the site.

Responsibilities

• Help the team complete all daily outloads and unloads according to schedule, including loading stock onto trailers, wrapping pallets, and supporting the despatch team as required.
• Manage correct stock rotation for customer orders and oversee all CCPs and quality verification checks within your area.
• Ensure accurate input for SAP, PDB, and Esmiley systems, and maintain flawless paperwork for customer communications and legal requirements.
• Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety and hygiene procedures while continually identifying ways to improve team yields and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Comfortable handling raw meat and able to lift produce exceeding 5 kg.
• Experience in a factory or production environment, with leadership or team support experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and continuous improvement practices; good English and numeracy skills (Level 2 or above).
• Experience with SAP or PDB systems is an advantage; forklift operation or shunting experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure.
