Overview
We are looking for a suitable applicant to assist in the delivery of physiotherapy to our acute stroke ward at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. The caseload is predominantly for patients who have experienced a stroke, with a medical component to the caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy to stroke patients.
- Perform treatment of patients and carry out exercise programmes.
- Support patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
Qualifications
- SVQ Level III in Health Sciences or equivalent.
- Evidence of clinical competence and skills that include treatment of patients and carrying out exercise programmes.
- Understanding of stroke and its impact on daily living.
- Basic IT knowledge, including word processing and use of the internet.
- Ability to work as part of a team and embrace change.
