Driver – Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives, including helping with cooking, gardening, and participating in local activities that encourage social interaction and personal growth.
• Promote independence and choice, empowering individuals to learn new skills and make decisions wherever possible.
• Provide personal care and administer medication with sensitivity and attention to detail, ensuring health and wellbeing are always prioritised.
• Assist with complex needs such as PEG feeding, insulin administration, moving and handling, and managing behaviours of concern.
• Act as the designated driver, transporting people to various activities in the local community.
• Work Monday to Friday, helping create a structured, engaging environment with meaningful experiences every day.

Qualifications

• 23 years or older.
• At least 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving licence (essential).
• Compassionate, patient and committed to supporting others.
• Strong communication skills and enjoys teamwork and bringing out the best in others.

Additional Information

• Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services is required.
• Evidence of an overseas police check is required if the applicant has lived or worked abroad.
• Starting salary will be pro rata if the position is part-time or term‑time only.
• No sponsorship for this role.
