Responsibilities
- Checking equipment and systems are fit for use and fully operational
- Recording any damage
- Maintaining battery banks
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Managing checklists
- Completing timesheets and risk assessments
- Ensuring vehicles, tools and other equipment are maintained and ready to use
- Assisting with maintaining a safe, tidy and clean yard
Qualifications
A full and valid UK driving licence is needed, along with great communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Working in and on highways can be dangerous, so an appreciation of why we always operate safely and do not take risks or shortcuts is essential. Some experience in a safety critical environment is important.
Relevant tickets such as Lantra, TTMBC and Streetworks are required. M1 and M2 are essential, with M5 desirable.
Contract and Compensation
Hours: 07:30 – 17:00
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Pay: £12.21 – £13.71 per hour plus van and fuel card, bonus & standby
Overtime: Overtime paid after 9 hours Mon‑Fri. Sat, Sun & callout are all paid at overtime rate.
