Overview
We are looking for a skilled and friendly Kitchen Supervisor to join our small, dedicated team at Talkin Tarn Country Park. The role involves baking homemade food and cakes to a high standard and serving as the ‘front of house’ to visitors, ensuring a high‑quality visitor experience. The supervisor will also manage the team in the absence of the tearoom manager.
Responsibilities
- Baking and preparing homemade food and cakes to a high standard.
- Front‑of‑house duties for visitors to Talkin Tarn, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Managing and leading the kitchen team during shifts.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
- Co‑ordinating roster and working 12 hours per week, including weekend and bank holiday shifts as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering or kitchen management.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices (training will be provided if necessary).
- Knowledge of first aid (training will be provided if necessary).
- Capacity to work flexible hours and occasionally additional hours.
