Learning Support Assistant – Vocational & Outdoor Learning
Start: September 2026 (Temp-to-Perm Opportunities)
Eligibility to Work: Candidates must hold an existing right to work in the UK (e.g., UK passport, settled/pre‑settled status, or a valid visa permitting work). Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join one of our specialist education partners from September 2026 on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This role supports young people in a hands‑on learning environment where education extends beyond the classroom. Students participate in vocational subjects and practical activities, creating an engaging and rewarding setting for support staff who enjoy a varied role.
The role involves:
- Supporting students during practical and vocational lessons
- Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support
- Encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence
- Assisting with academic and personal development goals
- Working closely with teaching staff and wider support teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build strong relationships with young people
- A flexible approach to supporting a range of learning needs
- Experience working with SEN learners (desirable but not essential)
