Overview

Are you a motivated Pharmacy Technician looking to develop your career in medicines optimisation and patient safety? Join our friendly and supportive Medicines Management team, where you will play an important role in helping ensure medicines are used safely and effectively across our community services. In this role you will support the effective delivery of medicines optimisation across community services, help maintain accurate records, monitor data to highlight trends or risks, and contribute to quality improvement work that supports safe and consistent practice.

Working closely with pharmacists and wider teams, you will provide practical support across a range of medicines governance activities, responding to queries within your competence and ensuring processes are followed in line with policies and guidance. You will also contribute to training and supporting colleagues, helping to promote good practice across services.

Responsibilities

  • Support the effective delivery of medicines optimisation across community services.
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor data to highlight trends or risks.
  • Contribute to quality improvement work that supports safe and consistent practice.
  • Provide practical support across medicines governance activities.
  • Respond to queries within your competence.
  • Ensure processes are followed in line with policies and guidance.
  • Contribute to training and supporting colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage your own workload while working collaboratively.
  • Confidence using data and ability to identify when to escalat(es) issues.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism in everything you do.
  • Proactive attitude and enjoyment of working in a team environment.
