Retail Security Officer – Sainsbury’s Dumfries

Location: Sainsbury’s Dumfries | Pay: £13.23 per hour | Hours: Part‑time, various shifts across multiple sites.

Job Overview

Mitie is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring a safe shopping environment. The successful candidate will deter violence, support store protection, and collaborate with store management and local police.

Qualifications

• Current SIA licence or SIA certificate required.
• SIA CCTV licence desirable but not mandatory.
• Full 5‑year checkable employment/education history required; failure to provide may result in offer withdrawal.

Main Duties

• Deliver industry‑leading customer service.
• Deterrence of violence and public order offences.
• Conduct patrols of the store.
• Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with store management teams.
• Liaise with police and crime partnerships to foster effective relationships.
• Wear body‑worn CCTV to enhance crime reduction and colleague and customer safety.
