Job Summary
A Personal Assistant / Carer is required to support a 76 year old gentleman in his own home during his morning routine. This is a short daily visit aimed at promoting independence, maintaining routine, and providing reassurance and companionship.
Reference AX2081. Location HU5. Rate of pay £12.71. Hours 10 per week (7:30am – 8:30am, 6 days per week). Vacancies: 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the gentleman with his morning routine.
- Assist with dressing where required.
- Prompt and ensure medication is taken.
- Provide reassurance and maintain a consistent routine.
- Be mindful of safety, as he can occasionally be unsteady.
Required Qualities
The gentleman is friendly and has experienced a stroke, resulting in aphasia that affects his speech. He communicates using gestures and non‑verbal cues. Patience, strong observation skills, and a calm approach are essential. This position is suited to someone who is kind, patient, reliable, and able to work in a calm and consistent manner.
