Job Summary

Working between 18, 28 or 35 hours per week, between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm, up to five days per week, on a four‑week rota. Must be fully flexible to work different days and times to suit the needs of the business.

Position

Part‑time Call Handler – integrated care navigation centre, Telford.

Work Environment

Teldoc’s call centre is part of our Integrated Care Navigation Centre in Telford. You will be handling a high volume of phone calls from patients, hospitals, emergency services, pharmacies and NHS professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound calls professionally, quickly and effectively in line with policies and procedures.
  • Provide a fast, accurate and courteous telephone service, booking appointments via our system and dealing efficiently with all enquiries.
  • Greet patients, navigate care, book appointments and answer queries in a professional and caring manner.
  • Work within a team, independently and under pressure.
  • Be available to work Monday and Friday and maintain full flexibility to cover a rota.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer‑service or administrative background.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and display empathy and patience when handling inbound or outbound calls.
  • Capability to manage a high volume of queries from patients and NHS professionals.
  • Independent working style with the ability to thrive in a team and under pressure.

Contract & Salary

Permanent contract. Part‑time, flexible working. Salary £12.92 per hour.
