We're looking for a customer-focused Housing Moves Coordinator to support residents through every stage of their home move journey. Whether it's helping someone downsize, facilitating a mutual exchange or supporting a transfer, you'll provide expert advice, practical guidance and a positive customer experience that helps residents make informed housing choices.

What youll be doing

  • Manage a caseload of housing move applications, ensuring residents receive a responsive and customer-focused service.
  • Provide advice and guidance on transfers, mutual exchanges, downsizing schemes and other rehousing options.
  • Assess housing needs and support residents to make informed decisions about their housing options.
  • Work with vulnerable residents, identifying support needs and signposting to specialist services where appropriate.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies and internal teams to achieve positive housing outcomes.
  • Support the effective use of our homes by reducing under-occupation, minimising voids and promoting sustainable tenancies.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with housing legislation, policies and GDPR requirements.
  • Take ownership of customer enquiries and complaints, using feedback to improve services and enhance the resident experience.

What were looking for:

  • Experience in a customer-facing housing role.
  • Good knowledge of housing legislation, allocations, mutual exchanges and tenancy management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to support residents through change.
  • Experience working with vulnerable customers and managing complex or sensitive cases.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to make decisions and challenge where appropriate.
  • Good IT skills and experience using housing management systems.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and helping residents access the homes that best meet their needs.

So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit / support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.
