Overview
Creative Support is a busy national charity providing person‑centred support services in over 65 local authorities. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Regional Development Team, coordinating evening discos and planning social activities across Teesside, Darlington and North Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- Deliver two large weekly evening discos for adults with learning disabilities or other support needs in Middlesbrough and Stockton
- Coordinate a small team of staff and helpers and ensure the smooth running of the events
- Lead a monthly disco in Darlington and identify opportunities to expand the discos
- Plan and deliver social activities across the region, including existing activities as part of the wider offer
- Work closely with the Regional Development Team and support wider regional development initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and coordinate resources effectively
Qualifications
- Experience in planning and delivering events and activities
- Effective communication and networking skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently and flexibly
- Willingness to travel across the North East region and access to a vehicle (clean and valid driving licence required)
- Desirable: genuine interest in and awareness of the wider social care sector
