We’reworkingwithaleadingenergytradingorganisationthat’slookingtohireaBackendPythonDevelopertojointheirLondonteam,workingonamodern,AWS-basedpost-tradeplatform.

Thisisahands-oncontractrolefocusedonbackenddevelopment,supportingliveintradaytrading,positionmanagementandP&Lreportingforafront-officeenergytradingenvironment.

You’llbepartofafast-movingengineeringteambuildingandenhancingbusiness-criticalsystemsuseddailybytradingandoperationsteams.

Therole:

• Design,developandmaintainbackendservicesusingPython
• Buildscalable,reliableandsecureapplicationsrunningonAWS
• Contributetoamodernpost-tradeplatformprovidingliveintradaypositionandP&Lreporting
• Workcloselywithproduct,tradingandtechnologyteamstodelivernewfeatures
• Proposeandimplementtechnicalsolutionstosolverealbusinessproblems
• UseandimproveCI/CDpipelinestoreleasefunctionalityfrequently
• Producehigh-leveltechnicaldesignsandensurealignmentwithcloud,securityandarchitecturalstandards
• Collaboratewithinfrastructure,cloudandsecurityteamsasrequired

Keyrequirements:

• Hands-onPythondevelopmentexperience(backend-focused)
• StrongexperienceworkingwithAWSinaproductionenvironment
• Solidunderstandingofobject-orientedprogramming
• ExperiencebuildingandconsumingAPIs(RESTand/orGraphQL)
• Familiaritywithrelationaldatabases(Postgrespreferred)
• ExperienceworkinginAgileteams
• Pragmatic,delivery-focusedmindset
