Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to step into the permanent role of Advanced Social Work Practitioner in our well‑established children in care service. Due to the successful career progression of our previous ASWP to a team manager role, we now have a permanent vacancy for an experienced and passionate social worker to take on the role in Children in Care Team 4. Advanced Practitioners are pivotal in establishing consistently excellent social work practice in our teams. You will work with our children needing the most support and share your expertise with others through modelling, coaching, reflective supervision, and other learning activities.
Responsibilities

You will be dynamic and driven to achieve strong outcomes for our children, and you will support and challenge colleagues and families, creating change.
Qualifications
You must be a registered social worker with significant experience of working with children and families in a statutory social work setting, and experience of supporting others in a social work or social care role, which may include practice education of students or ASYE social workers.
Skills around reunification and supporting children to return home safely, pathway planning, adoption and permanency planning for children and young people to support them to leave our care in suitable and safe ways are essential.
Previous experience working with children in care or suitable transferable skills is required. You should possess a big heart, role model relational practice to support our children and young people, and contribute to continued development of the service to provide exemplary social work practice for all children in our care.
