The Opportunity
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Building Services BIM Designer who is excited by technically challenging work on cutting‑edge projects to join our creative and collaborative Building Engineering Team in the Midlands (based in our Nottingham office). You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of over 110 engineers and BIM designers across both locations.
Our projects span the globe, offering the opportunity to thrive in an international, multicultural environment. You’ll contribute to some of the most innovative and inspiring buildings worldwide, working alongside leading architects. Current and recent projects include rail infrastructure, major science and industry developments, university buildings and complex, sustainable residential and healthcare facilities.
In this role, as the building services BIM manager for projects you will manage the planning and production of models, drawings, and data while supervising and supporting team members and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines. You will be the focal point for collaborative BIM delivery, developing coordination strategies, managing coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders, while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement. You will support the Project Manager by communicating progress and potential issues, helping them to ensure that objectives are achieved in line with plans. Beyond your projects you will provide technical support to the wider team.
Experience in the implementation of BIM Execution Plans, the delivery of structured data, and an interest in automation are highly valued.
Is this role right for you?
- Have in‑depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit, including model setup, modelling, drawing production and family management.
- Have a strong background in building services systems and coordination across a range of project sectors and stages.
- Have experience of managing and supporting others through guidance, training and constructive feedback.
- Possess strong communication skills at all levels with regular reporting to Project Managers and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
- Have, or are working towards, a relevant professional qualification (for example LCIBSEEngTech).
