Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

An opportunity has opened for a Technical Sales Assistant to join an engineering company based in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a background within customer service and sales. You will also have a background within an Engineering company, preferably lifting equipment, cranes or similar.

The role doesn’t require any sales calls to be made or business development as they have already built a reliable customer base but you will be handling any incoming enquiries and advising clients on services provided.

Key Skills

• Experience within Engineering or Manufacturing – ideally lifting equipment
• Technical engineering knowledge
• Inbound sales background
• Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships
• Negotiation skills and upselling experience
• Confident in providing advice to clients and explaining services
• LOLER or PUWER knowledge would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Taking inbound calls from clients and providing advice
• Maintaining client relationships
• Presenting to clients with technical details of services that the business provides
• Negotiating prices inline with company price points
• Providing technical insight on crane systems and other lifting equipment
• Ensure industry standards are met
