As a Plant Engineer, you will support the Site Manager with safe site operations, manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, and plan key equipment down‑time for safe and cost‑effective overhaul.
We are seeking a candidate qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering with experience in a related process industry. Experience in engineering, PLC controls, or electronics as well as knowledge of materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights, and first aid is advantageous. Training will be provided to meet in‑house WAMITAB competency standards and NEBOSH if not already held.
You should be able to follow procedure and protocol, control costs, work within budget, and adapt to changing circumstances. Self‑motivation, flexibility, teamwork, and independent work capability are required. Experience with environmental, safety and quality management systems and with planned preventive maintenance systems is essential.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to operate a telehandler (telehandler licence obtainable) are required. The role involves shift work, weekends on a rota basis, call‑out, and remote monitoring of the AD Process. Overtime is paid for approved additional hours.
