Location: London + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Hybrid: You should work with your line manager to understand expectations. The hybrid working approach allows you to work both in the office and at home; 2-3 days each week, at least 8 days per month.
Role Purpose: Senior Manager – Home Broadband Engineering leads end‑to‑end digital delivery and shapes the future of home broadband experiences. You’ll champion technical excellence, build a thriving engineering culture, and deliver innovative solutions that help millions of customers connect with Vodafone.
What you’ll do
- Lead the full delivery of Vodafone UK’s broadband digital channels, ensuring high‑quality outcomes regardless of platform or channel.
- Shape and drive the technical roadmap – setting goals, defining project timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring everything lands on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard.
- Bring engineering and business teams together, creating seamless communication and alignment around shared outcomes and evolving customer needs.
- Build and nurture high‑performing engineering teams, coaching leaders, mentoring talent, and fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, growth, and modern engineering practices.
- Blend Business Agility and DevSecOps ways of working with Vodafone’s operating model, championing innovation and technical excellence.
- Guide technical design across our Buy journeys, ensuring solutions align with strategic intent and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Act as the technical subject‑matter expert for product owners, analysts, architects, commercial teams, and other critical stakeholders.
- Support long‑term commercial and technology planning, helping shape new features that meet future demand.
- Drive best‑in‑class performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and customer satisfaction sit at the heart of every delivery.
Who you are
- Deep, end‑to‑end knowledge of engineering technologies such as React, Java, Node.js, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud‑native architectures.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and shaping high‑performance cultures.
- Confident in Agile delivery, with hands‑on experience in Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Clear, impactful communication, adapting your style to your audience.
- Successfully led teams and projects across multiple locations and thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
