ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Validates equipment installations and completes start‑up and commissioning on all makes of thermal and catalytic oxidisers and associated air pollution control / filtration technologies.
- Works closely with all other personnel on activities concerned with installing equipment, investigates, and resolves customer reported technical problems with equipment and performs preventative maintenance.
- Provides remote and on‑site technical support.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers; completes service reports, checklists and timesheets promptly and with accuracy.
- Checks new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to ensure full and safe functionality of systems according to specifications.
- Analyzes and reviews inspection findings to determine source of problem, recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action, and installs replacement parts as appropriate to ensure reliable operation of equipment.
- Understands wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment, with capability to make minor changes as deemed necessary for the correct and safe operation of the equipment.

- Has experience working with PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens) to validate performance, troubleshoot operational issues and make changes to code.
- Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Provides site with technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment in person or remotely.
- Maintains records of performance reports by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklists and daily timesheets.
- Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
- Travels frequently to customer sites within the UK and overseas; occasional overtime and sporadic on‑call emergency service is required to meet customer needs.
- Promotes CECO to customers and end users.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
You should be motivated by solving technical problems, working independently, and engaging directly with customers. You should be confident working across mechanical, electrical and control systems and comfortable with regular travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Appropriate qualifications in mechanical and electrical engineering (e.g. a manufacturing plant maintenance background).
- Relevant related experience required.
- Strong understanding of gas‑fired combustion equipment. Gas Safe accreditation (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in thermal abatement or related equipment, control systems and field start‑up/commissioning preferred.
- Track record of communicating and training plant associates to achieve the required knowledge transfer of equipment operations and safety features.
- Knowledge of thermal and catalytic oxidation solutions for abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), gaseous air toxic fumes and odors from chemical, hydrocarbon and acid gas process streams is preferred.
- PLC experience (Allen Bradley / Siemens) for troubleshooting and performance verification.
- Clear and confident communicator with customers and colleagues.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable but not essential).
- Dual language skills English / German (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel internationally.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Full UK Driving Licence
Frequent travel is required and must have the ability to travel. Predominantly travel will include UK, Europe, USA, Americas.
We Offer
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm with a 1‑hour unpaid break (40 hours per week).
Pay Rate: £60,000 per annum
