QUANTITY SURVEYOR / SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR – HOUSING
Location: NottinghamshireSalary: Competitive + Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer delivering a major multi-tenure housing scheme within Nottinghamshire.
This role would suit an ambitious commercial professional who thrives within a fast-paced housebuilding environment and is comfortable managing large-scale developments from a commercial perspective.
The Role
Working as part of an established commercial team, you will take responsibility for the commercial performance of a significant residential development comprising a mix of private sale, affordable housing and partnership-led housing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial responsibility for a major residential development
- Management of subcontract procurement and package buyout
- Preparation of monthly CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
- Subcontractor account management and final accounts
- Commercial risk and opportunity management
- Budget control and cash flow forecasting
- Liaison with operational, technical and land teams
- Supporting the successful delivery of programme and profitability targets
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential development
- Experience delivering large-scale housing projects
- Multi-tenure housing experience highly desirable
- Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and package management
- Excellent commercial reporting and forecasting ability
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
