About the Role
We are looking for an experienced service and maintenance engineer to join us on a permanent basis to support with scheduled upgrades, installs and repairs on fire alarm systems for our prestigious clients in and around the London area. The ideal person will have a flexible approach to work, who can, on occasion, participate in an out of hours call out rota. A full UK Driving Licence is required along with previous Fire Alarm Experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities
- Pursue ‘Great, not Good’ in fire safety services
- Be accountable for the quality system as well as providing excellent customer service
- Service, maintain and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) in accordance with the relevant British Standards
- Accurately complete engineer service reports
- Report deficiencies or deviations in fire systems
- Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the procurement department to keep replenished and appropriately stocked
- Have a Health & Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly
- Complete a first fix where possible
Qualifications
FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
Required Skills
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Previous Fire Alarm Experience
- Knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Understanding of BS5839
- Good level of IT literacy
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations
- Commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Collaborative working skills

Pay range and compensation package
The role is full-time, and we are offering a competitive salary. This position will be based in the London Area with travel required to attend different sites. A full UK Driving Licence will be essential, and a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
