Overview

A dedicated Fire Alarm Service and Commissioning Engineer will work on commercial fire alarm panels within corporate buildings throughout London. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, commissioning, and testing of a wide range of conventional fire alarm systems across large office and commercial environments. The role requires strong knowledge of BS5839 standards, current fire safety regulations, and expertise in system diagnostics, panel programming, cause and effect testing, and commissioning documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain commercial fire alarm panels.
• Fault find and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Commission new or upgraded fire alarm systems.
• Ensure compliance with BS5839 and fire safety regulations.
• Prepare and hand over commissioning documentation.

Job Requirements

• Live in M25.
• Hold minimum 5 years of experience working on Fire Alarms and Control Panels.
• Strong technical awareness to successfully fault find and commission.
• Hold UK driving licence.

Salary & Benefits

• £45-55k.
• 40 hour week.
• Company Van – optional personal use.
• 21 days holiday and rising with 1 day per year.
• Overtime rates 1.5x and 2x.
• Call‑out rota 1‑5 with £100 retainer and 4‑hour minimum paid overtime.
