Air Conditioning Engineer Overview
Air Conditioning Engineer is required for our client, who provide factory solutions, employing over 22,500 people around the globe. They’re now looking to build an in‑house team, to cover HVAC works within the industrial / manufacturing sites they set up / commission. This includes installing, servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment. The air conditioning engineer will be carrying out a range of work, from servicing, repairs and installation works, within industrial sites / factories, on a range of equipment such as VRV’s, splits and chillers etc. The Air Conditioning Engineer will be covering predominately around the West Midlands. The engineer must hold their NVQ Level 2 in air conditioning or equivalent and their F‑Gas cat1 qualification. It would be highly advantageous, for the engineer to have chiller experience. This will be working within a relatively new department, of an already established global company, so this presents fantastic opportunities to progress as the department grows.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on split, VRV, and VRF systems.
- Complete and record all required safety and service documentation accurately.
- Working in and around the West Midlands, with a concentration of works around the Coventry area.
Job Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent
- F‑gas cat1 qualification
- Proven experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial air conditioning systems and chillers.
- Based within commutable distance of Coventry
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on air conditioning.
- Full UK driving license
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £38,000 to £45,000 per annum
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Company van with some private use
- Door to door travel paid
- No out of hours call out rota (may potentially change as the department grows)
