Attendance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join our safeguarding and pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference by supporting students to attend regularly, engage fully, and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse attendance data, identifying trends and concerns
- Work closely with students and families to improve attendance
- Conduct home visits and liaise with external agencies when required
- Support safeguarding procedures related to attendance
- Promote a culture of high expectations and consistent attendance
Qualifications and Skills
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working in an educational, safeguarding, or pastoral setting
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with students and families
- Ability to analyse data and use it to inform actions and interventions
- Confident using IT systems, including attendance and MIS software
Pay range: SCP11 – 15 – £24,751.55 – £26,406.82 – (FTE: £28,142.00 – £30,024.00)
37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
